Say goodbye to Cellulite. Say hello to QWO.

It’s here. The first and only FDA-approved injectable for those pesky cellulite dimples. We are excited to be the first in Colorado to offer this treatment to women with cellulite. Qwo is available at both of our Facial Aesthetics medical spas in Denver and Greenwood Village.

What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite affects 9 out of 10 women in their lifetime. But it’s not because of how much or how little you eat, or how much or little you exercise… it’s genetics and aging, and it’s not your fault. Most women have it on their thighs, their buttocks or abdomen.

So how does it happen? Over time, our skin thins. Fat cells enlarge and push against the skin. Fibrous bands under the skin thicken and cause tension creating the dimpling you see on your body.

Cellulite is completely normal, but If it bothers you, our non-surgical QWO treatment for cellulite can help make it much less noticeable.

Why Does Cellulite Affect Women And Not Men?

Cellulite can, in fact, affect both men and women. However, due to the different build-up of muscle, fat and tissue among men and women, it’s often more visible in women. Hormonal factors are thought to play a part in cellulite too, with estrogen levels affecting the amount of cellulite. This is (believed to be) why women who are pregnant or have had children tend to experience more cellulite than others.

What Types Of Treatment Are Available For Cellulite?

There are a number of popular cellulite treatments on the market, some surgical and some non-surgical, with varying results. As always, the type of treatment you choose should be one that meets your needs, safely. Some depend on the amount and severity of your cellulite.
Some popular cellulite treatments that you may have already heard of or looked into on the market are:

  • Acoustic Wave Therapy
  • Laser Treatment
  • Subcision
  • Carboxytherapy
  • Endermologie
  • Radiofrequency
  • QWO

Which Type Of Cellulite Treatment Is Best?

As with all types of aesthetic procedure, the best type of treatment varies from client to client, with the ideal treatment being one that delivers the results you want, effectively and safely.
QWO, an injectable treatment applied directly to stubborn cellulite areas, is often recognized as one of the most effective, proven treatments on the market. In a recent article, Women’s Health named QWO one of it’s top treatments for cellulite. It is believed to be a simpler and less invasive treatment than other popular non-surgical cellulite treatments: Cellfina, Velashape and EMTONE.

When you’re deciding on the best type of cellulite treatment for you, be sure to check client reviews, as well as results, we also recommend videos to see how invasive they are and of course, a consultation to learn everything you can about the treatment from an expert.

What Is QWO?

QWO is a game changing treatment for cellulite. It’s a non-surgical treatment, clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite. QWO is injected by our aesthetic injectors directly into targeted dimples of cellulite using a small needle. The enzymes in QWO target the structural cause under the skin and release the fibrous bands, growing new collagen and effectively reducing the appearance of cellulite dimples.

What Can I Expect With My QWO Treatment?

Our aesthetic injectors will talk to you about what to expect post-treatment and when to follow up – setting your expectations properly is our job and we want you to have the most successful treatment because QWO is different for everyone! QWO is a 10 minute treatment. For most effective results we recommend 3 treatments spaced 3 weeks apart.

With regards to maintenance: it is believed that once those fibrous bands are released, maintenance with QWO is not necessary.

Is It Cellulite Or Skin Laxity?

What is causing the dimples? Is it a loss of elasticity causing the skin to appear rippled (skin laxity) or tension of fibrous bands which causes the skin to appear dimpled (cellulite)? This will be determined in a consultation with one of our aesthetic injectors. QWO does not treat laxity as the structural cause is different from cellulite. Schedule an appointment and let’s discuss what’s causing your less than smooth appearance and if it can be treated with QWO.

We serve all patients in and around the Denver, Greenwood Village, Aurora, Cherry Creek, Cherry Hills, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock areas of Colorado with two convenient locations: one in Denver and one in Greenwood Village.
