It’s no secret that a healthy diet and consistent exercise routine are an effective way to maintaining a healthy weight. It’s also no secret that keeping a healthy weight can require more than diets and gym memberships. There is nothing more frustrating than feeling like you’ve “been there, done that” when it comes to trying fad diets and fitness trends and seeing no results. It’s exactly why we offer the CoolSculpting and Cooltone body contouring procedures at our Denver and Greenwood Village medical spas. When you need to lose inches, push a threshold in the body, make progress from a plateau or strengthen and tone your muscles you can count on us to help you.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a fat reduction treatment that is non-surgical and non-invasive, so there is no need for anesthesia, incisions, or stitches. CoolSculpting uses Cryolpolysis technology to freeze and destroy fat cells. This is done by placing an applicator on the treatment area to freeze and kill the fat cells. Your body’s natural excretion process (through the liver) gets rid of these cells leaving no damage to your skin or surrounding areas that weren’t treated. Check out this Beauty Room article for our take on the CoolSculpting treatment!
What is CoolTone?
CoolTone is a body toning treatment that uses external Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) technology to strengthen and tone muscles on the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. The muscles contract and stimulate in a magnetic field produced by the CoolTone device. The great thing about CoolTone is that it can significantly improve the muscle tone that you’ve worked so hard to refine on your own and CoolTone can take you that much further than what you were able to reach through diet and exercise alone. Check out this Beauty Room article for our take on CoolTone vs. EmSculpt!
Can you do both?
Yes. In fact, we encourage it, but only if it’s right for you and your goals. Both treatments can be completed together over a period of time. Your body needs time in between to settle with the result of the treatment before starting the next one. Our Cool Specialists offer complimentary consultations to create treatment plans based on your personal goals. It’s also the time to ask any and all questions about the treatments. Here’s how we use them together: if you wanted to focus on one area of the body like your abdomen, we’d use CoolSculpting (Cryolpolysis technology) to reduce the fat in the area (so we’d debulk the area and sculpt it), we’d then treat it with CoolTone, (MMS technology) to contour and strengthen your muscles. It’s the best of both worlds! We believe that most people can benefit by the strengthening and toning of CoolTone, so adding it on to any applicable treatment area will really define your physique.
Do CoolSculpting and CoolTone actually work?
Check out these results. This patient did a combination of both treatments over the span of 3 months. While in great shape to start, this patient wanted to treat the peaks on her abdomen and flanks (lower back) because they were resistant to change. She maintained her healthy diet and active lifestyle and was able to easily reach her goals with CoolSculpting and CoolTone.
