Denver Weddings Walk Your Best Self Down The Aisle

We’ve got wedding fever.

It’s a rarity when six (yes, that’s right) members of your work fam get engaged a couple months apart from each other. You can imagine that a lot of the office talk lately has been about venues, “the” dress, and of course, wedding preparations related to skin and body. With our staff, and so many of our patients as our inspiration, we thought we’d share some of our best guidance on how to strut your best self down the aisle.

Yea, ok. We’ll give you a few days, or even weeks, after the engagement announcement to relish in your excitement, but then… it’s GO TIME. While it may feel like there are a million things to do, please believe us when we tell you that finding a skin care or body sculpting BFF sooner than later is important. Great skin does not happen overnight. It requires commitment. Same with reaching body goals. You need to give some time for the treatment to go to work, and for you to get used to your amazing results. Whatever the timing is from the big day, our team of experts will ensure that you are ready to go with a plan that will help you tackle all of your skin and body concerns.

That big day is coming! Whether it’s yours or one of your loved ones, this is an exciting time for everyone. We are so honored to be part of your “I DO CREW”. Helping you become your best self by achieving your skin and/or body goals is our passion, and while we like to be modest, we can’t help but tell you that you’ve come to the right place. Yay you!

So, let’s do this. We’re launching right into our quick tips to help you prepare for your Denver wedding…

IF YOU DON’T ALREADY HAVE ONE…START AN AT-HOME SKIN CARE ROUTINE

How do you know what to use? Consult a skin care professional. Please don’t make decisions about your skin without research and professional skin care guidance. We know the best place to call in Denver and Greenwood Village 🙂 to schedule a consultation (for free, too). Finding an at-home routine that you can easily do every morning and night, and that WORKS for your skin is key. Don’t be lazy, not right now…not ever. Invest in yourself, and quality skin care products. You will be so glad you did when you see the results, and how these products preserve the results of your treatments (as needed).

MAKE SPF YOUR BFF.

Never skip this important step in your morning routine. SPF should be broad spectrum (protects against UVA and UVB rays), 30 or higher, water resistant (if sweating or participating in water sports/activities). Also, don’t forget about your lips. You want to easily apply that lipstick on your wedding day. It’s way easier to prevent dry, cracked lips than it is to repair them. If you’re outdoors a lot, grab a lip balm with SPF 30 or higher to keep your lips protected and hydrated.

<3 H20

It’s dry here in Denver – believe us, we know. We’ve been taking care of skin in this climate for almost 30 years. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Get yourself a reusable water bottle and keep filling it up. Drinking water helps flush out toxins, staves off headaches, prevents bad breath, boosts your immune system, regulates body temperature, promotes weight loss and has so many other benefits. So, let’s go with that H20.

EAT GOOD FOOD

Vegetables, Seeds, Sprouts, Fruit, Fish – these foods help to save the skin, relieve stress and do the body good. We’d never tell you that you NEED to diet, but we’re big believers in maintaining a healthy diet for your overall health and well-being.

SWEAT IT OUT.

Hit the gym, hit the sauna, hit the CoolSculpting/CoolTone room – whatever your body goals, we know a little sweat can help you get there. Nothing beats exercise when it comes to your health. But there are lots of other options that can help you achieve the perfect fit in wedding attire. Walk, run, do yoga, meditate, try a body sculpting treatment, do something you enjoy and that you’ll be happy you committed to when your big day rolls around.

Some tips once you find your Skin Care or Body Sculpting BFF:

FOLLOW THE PLAN PROVIDED BY YOUR MEDICAL AESTHETICS PROFESSIONAL

We LOVE when we’re asked by a bride, groom or any member of the wedding party to help them get wedding ready. We take it very seriously and always start with a work back schedule from the date of the wedding. For our treatments that have downtime, we’ll recommend them with proper time to heal (it’s literally our job!) and for treatments that don’t, you’ll see them recommended closer to “I Do!”. Skin care, injectables and body sculpting procedures will all have different recommendations – and the best part – they’ll all be recommended based on what YOU NEED. It’s hard to give a general idea of “do this 6 months out”, etc, because each one of our patients is unique. Each person’s goals are different – each person required different treatments. So, while we have guidance for each treatment and when it should be done – how it all that works together is how we make the magic happen.

PRE-BOOK YOUR TREATMENTS

This is a bonus tip! Once you meet with our experts and we put together your pre-wedding plan, let’s get all of your appointments on the calendar. We know from experience that it’s more likely to adhere to the plan when the appointments are already on the calendar vs. scheduling them as one-offs. Do yourself a favor and make this as easy as possible for you. It’ll help you focus on all the rest.

SHARE WITH FRIENDS SO THEY CAN GET WEDDING READY, TOO!

Your referral is our biggest compliment. At Facial Aesthetics, we offer amazing referral rewards. When you send in your friends, and family, we’ll use the same approach with them to ensure we work toward the big day so they can reach their aesthetic goals, too. If you loved your Chemical Peel, Halo, HydraFacial, Botox, Dermal Filler, Thread Lift, Permanent Makeup, Lash Lift/Tint, Organic Facial, CoolSculpting or CoolTone (and the list goes on and on) treatment, tell your friends! A good experience is always worth sharing!

For fun, we asked our 6 newly engaged staff members about what treatments they were most excited to get before their wedding. Here is what they said…
