Let’s take you back. These premier med spas weren’t built in a day. Pamela started her career as an OR nurse in the open-heart cardiac unit. She then transitioned into a well-established and practiced nurse in plastic and reconstructive surgery, which led her to meet Dr. Grossman and open Facial Aesthetics in 1992. A cutting edge preventative med spa and skin care clinic, Facial Aesthetics was, and remains to this day, at the forefront in providing, promoting, and educating its patients of the avant-garde products and services. Due to her results-oriented leadership style and proven track record for building and growing companies in the medical skin care sector, Facial Aesthetics has grown into a multiple location operation with a highly regarded reputation among patients and industry leaders alike.
Pamela is an accomplished author, and an in demand educator that provides guidance to the future of the aesthetic profession. Recognizing the opportunity to fulfill an educational demand among spa owners, students, educators and product manufacturers, Pamela’s passion for better skin care inspired her to partner with Thomson Corporation (formerly Milady) to create the Milady’s Aesthetician Series, a 13-book compendium dedicated to the education and professional growth of medical estheticians. It is widely considered to be a “must have” resource for on-the-job success, and covers subjects ranging from laser, dermal filler and permanent makeup techniques to skin diseases and treatments, drug side effects and medical spa practice management. The PH Institute conducts trainings, seminars and other learning opportunities for professionals wanting to optimize their aesthetic offerings.
For two decades Pamela listened to patients sit in her chair and explain what they wanted in skin care products. She couldn’t sit there and do nothing. So she didn’t. Pamela spent years searching for a way to repair and protect skin more effectively than other products on the market. In 2000, she launched her first skin care line called Pamela Hill Skin Care. Creating that product line from the ground up further developed Pamela’s product knowledge on a molecular level and inspired her to improve her own product line. This inspired the transformation of the Pamela Hill Skin Care line into the reformulated and rebranded Pamela Metamorphosis skin care line. Over the course of her accomplished career, Pamela has appeared on several national and regional talk shows, has been featured or quoted in newsprint stories and lectures at conferences and other events. She is regularly called upon to speak both about product development and the med spa model.
A lifelong native of Denver, Colorado, Pamela is a loving wife to her husband of 28 years. She is a proud mother of four daughters and she’s a rock star “Pamma” to her 10 grandchildren. She also has three fur “babies” that she is crazy about. Living in the Mile High City feeds her inspiration and drive to help her patients protect themselves and repair damage caused by exposure to the relentless Colorado sun. Pamela leads an active lifestyle and loves to travel whether it’s visiting her family or exploring a new city.

Ask our founder, Pamela. Working alongside Dr. Grossman for many years in the OR enabled her to observe his good work and learn about all things aesthetic. Dr. Grossman largely got involved in the med spa model not only because of his knowledge in the space, but more due to Pamela’s interest to join the therapeutic skin care revolution that was about to begin at the time. He supported her vision, and lent her space in the lower level of 310 Steele Street in Denver, CO. Together they built a business, and today it’s known as Facial Aesthetics.

After his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Grossman opened his private practice in Denver, Colorado. In 1984, he added a surgical center in Beverly Hills, California.
Dr. Grossman has served as chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Rose Medical Center. He has been a clinical instructor for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was the director of The Rose Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship. He now assumes the role of Chairman Emeritus.
Over the years, Dr. Grossman’s reputation as one of the country’s premier aesthetic plastic surgeons has earned him a great deal of national attention. He’s been a guest on a number of TV shows, including:

Dr. Grossman has numerous outside interests away from meeting new patients and performing surgery in the OR. Family is very important to him. He and his wife enjoy time with their four daughters and 10 grandchildren, and their “fur babies” – three beautiful standard poodles. Besides spending time with family and close friends, his interests include golf, working out, traveling, reading and writing, films and filmmaking, and collecting fine art.
Meet Alysa Paul, the president of Facial Aesthetics, a premier Colorado medical spa with four offices in: Cherry Creek, Golden, Greenwood Village and Superior. With over 20 years of experience in medical aesthetics, Alysa is no stranger to the industry, in fact, she grew up in it. Alysa was introduced to aesthetics by her mother, Pamela Grossman, RN, CANS – a nationally recognized aesthetics educator, med spa mogul, and Facial Aesthetics founder. From a young age, Alysa had an interest in aesthetics, but it wasn’t until 2003 when she accepted her first job at Facial Aesthetics, that her interest turned to passion.
After a few years at Facial Aesthetics, Alysa experienced a short departure when she attended the Institute of Advanced Medical Aesthetics in Virginia to earn her aesthetician license. Among Alysa’s greatest strengths as a leader is her experience in many roles over the years – from Front Desk, Aesthetician, Controller, Aesthetics Trainer, COO, and others in between, Alysa assumed every role in the business at some point in her career. She studied each one and how they impacted the business. This created understanding, compassion, and knowledge for every role – a unique vantage point that she attributes much of her success to today.
Driven by her vision to partner with patients to create the best version of themselves, Alysa is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of the latest developments in the industry, and she continually invests in the best technologies and training for her staff, leveraging the brilliance and experience of Pamela Grossman and world-renowned plastic surgeon and Facial Aesthetics Medical Spa Director, Dr. John A. Grossman.
Alysa prides herself on communication, connectivity, and culture. Our annual Holiday drive was an absolute success thanks to our amazing staff and patients! We partnered with Colorado Safe Outdoor Spaces to help fight hunger and spread warmth to those in our community. We delivered 12 – 30 gallon bags stuffed full of cold weather gear that was shared with all residents. We also made a monetary donation of $1,395 to this effort to provide meals other resources during this winter season.

Food Banks were reporting an unprecedented demand across the U.S. amid the Coronavirus pandemic, and we wanted to help! During our closure, we donated $5 to The Food Bank of the Rockies for any patient who pre-booked or pre-paid one of our featured specials. The tally: $2,110!!! That is 8,440 meals. A special THANK YOU to all of our patients!
